In decembrie 1989, jurnalistul belgian Danny Huwe a fost ucis de graniceri din ordinul comandantului colonel Petre Teaca (recompensat de Ion Iliescu in 27 dec. 1989 prin avansarea la gradul de general maior), a declarat Teodor Maries la conferinta de presa din 7 martie a.c. tinuta la sediul Asociatiei 21 Decembrie, Bucuresti.
